Responsibilities: • Talk to clients to get a clear understanding of the project details, and work with the project manager to assist with detailed construction planning • Assist the project manager with any other duties as needed for the entire project • Integrate client feedback during the building process and help the construction crew execute change orders • Enforce all health and safety standards to prevent injuries and obstacles to project completion, and quickly report any issues to the project manager • Manage construction workers and subcontractors, perform routine inspections on-site, and give guidance as needed to make sure each construction project results in a high-quality finished product • Ensure all tools, equipment, and vehicles are well-maintained, and arrange for routine maintenance as needed. • Plumbing, such as faucet and toilet repairs. • Drywall repairs. • Carpentry repairs. • General residential maintenance. • Install replacement locks on residential homes. • Electrical - Installation of light fixtures, repair/replacement of switches, and sockets. • Performs work duties in a variety of environmental conditions, including but not limited to the following: Hot, cold, outdoor, indoor, dry, humid, slippery surfaces, heights, and possibly congested areas. Qualifications: • Must have a high school diploma, bachelor’s degree is preferred for this role • Possesses a deep understanding of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building codes, permits, construction equipment, material resources, project management principles, and construction methods • Stamina for operating heavy equipment and lifting 40 pounds or more • Must have general contractor license • OSHA 30 certification and firm adherence to safety protocols on the job-site • Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and time-management skills. • The minimum age requirement is 21 years, with a valid driver's license and an insurable driving record. • Candidate must have strong residential maintenance experience. • The candidate must have carpentry skills. • The candidate must have electrical and plumbing skills. • The Candidate must have strong property management experience. • Must be willing to work with and assist co-workers as needed, in addition to working evening and weekend hours. • Ability to continually climb (ladders), balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift heavy objects. • Possess the tools necessary to complete repairs and installations. • Teamwork, excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritization, multitasking, the ability to take initiative, and be accountable are all desired skills. Compensation: $21 - $25 hourly
