    Overview

    We are seeking a Construction General Laborer to join our team at our facility in Portland, OR. We are building temporary and semi-permanent buildings inside our closed warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will have some experience in how to put buildings or structures together including some of the following skills: installing doors and windows, rough in plumbing, installing sinks and toilets, running conduit and wires, installing flooring, etc.

    Responsibilities

    • Assemble and prepare parts and assemblies
    • Perform minor construction tasks including installing windows and doors.
    • Assist with plumbing, including installing toilets and sinks
    • Utilize deburring techniques to ensure smooth surfaces
    • Assemble mechanical components accurately
    • Meet physical requirements for lifting and carrying materials
    • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
    • Read and interpret blueprints for construction projects
    • Operate manual grinder, band saw, and belt sander
    • Paint walls and ceilings

    Qualifications

    • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Demonstrated woodworking and plumbing skills
    • Ability to deburr materials effectively
    • Experience with mechanical assembly tasks
    • Physical ability to meet job requirements
    • Strong communication skills
    • Proficiency in reading blueprints
    • Familiarity with operating manual grinder, band saw, and belt sander

    • Woodworking
    • Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
    • Mechanical Assembly Skills
    • Meets Physical Requirements

    Salary info:

    $20 - $27 / hr
