    Construction General Manager - Construction Materials Distribution - Base Salary to 160k/year - Atlanta, GA

    • Our client is a private real estate investment firm specializing in multifamily, hospitality, and mixed-use assets. They are launching a new company in the construction supply distribution market. This is a startup venture that has secured a location and capitalized funding. They are searching for an experienced Construction General Manager to launch the new branch in the Atlanta market. This will be a single site to start with huge upside potential for satellite offices in the future.
    • The Construction General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire operation, with full P&L responsibility. The key mandate is to grow out the business from the ground up.

    Responsibilities:

    • First 6 Months:
      • Set up baseline operations from ground zero
      • Establish initial "house account" customer base
      • Develop staffing strategy and hire team members
      • Create market attack strategy
      • Build and execute operational playbook
    • Ongoing:
      • Run branch operations (similar to smaller version of 84 Lumber, Lansing Supply, Builders FirstSource)
      • Solve problems independently without daily owner consultation
      • Manage 65% operations / 35% sales focus

    Qualifications:

    • Experience: 10+ years minimum in building materials distribution
    • Background: Operations GM/leadership experience from building materials companies
    • Startup Experience: Preferred - comfortable with operational uncertainty
    • Leadership: Experience with hiring, firing, P&L management

    Compensation:

    • Base salary in the 120k – 160k/year range (flexible dependent on experience)
