  • Responsibilities

    DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

    • 15+ years of experience in commercial construction, including 5+ years managing large-scale airport or transportation infrastructure projects.
    • Demonstrated leadership of multi-phase projects in active aviation environments.
    • Deep knowledge of airside/landside logistics, FAA/TSA protocols, and heavy civil to vertical construction sequencing.
    • Proven ability to lead large field teams and coordinate multiple concurrent trades in complex, secure environments.
    • Proficient with construction management and scheduling software.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    -Leadership of Field Operations:

    • Provide top-down leadership and oversight for all field construction activities across one or more airport expansion projects.
    • Coordinate closely with project executives, construction managers, and client representatives to ensure smooth execution and alignment with project goals.
    • Oversee multiple Lead Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and field personnel, providing mentorship, direction, and accountability.
    • Represent the company’s interests in all jobsite matters, including safety, scheduling, cost control, and quality.

    -Schedule Management & Risk Mitigation:

    • Establish and maintain project-wide master schedules in coordination with the planning team.
    • Ensure look-ahead schedules and trade coordination are executed efficiently by field staff.
    • Identify and mitigate potential schedule and logistical risks, especially in high-security and phased turnover environments common to active airports.

    -Regulatory & Safety Compliance:

    • Ensure strict adherence to FAA, TSA, local building, and airport authority regulations.
    • Maintain a culture of safety, implementing and enforcing jobsite safety protocols that meet or exceed OSHA standards.
    • Coordinate with airport operations to ensure safe and secure jobsite boundaries and access protocols.

    -Client Interface & Stakeholder Coordination:

    • Serve as the primary field contact for airport authorities, consultants, and public agency officials.
    • Facilitate coordination with multiple stakeholders, including airline representatives, terminal operations, and facilities management.
    • Communicate field progress and upcoming work impacts clearly and professionally.

    -Reporting & Documentation:

    • Oversee and review daily reports, jobsite documentation, inspection logs, and labor/equipment reporting submitted by site superintendents.
    • Ensure accurate, timely reporting in project management software (such as Procore, e-Builder, or BuilderTrend).
    • Provide regular executive-level updates on construction progress, potential delays, and corrective actions.

    -Mentorship & Team Development:

    • Mentor lead and assistant superintendents to build a strong, performance-driven field team.
    • Participate in staffing plans and resource scheduling for current and future phases of work.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Prior experience managing terminal expansions or concourse renovations.
    • FAA and OSHA 30 certifications.
    • Working knowledge of airport design-build delivery or CM-at-Risk models.
    • Experience interfacing with government agencies and public owners.
