SRE Engineering, D.P.C. is seeking Construction Inspectors to provide on-site inspection services for NYC Health + Hospitals capital construction projects across all five boroughs. You will serve as the eyes and ears of the construction management team, ensuring contractor compliance and documenting daily field conditions.

Responsibilities

Perform on-site inspection of construction activities and verify compliance with contract documents

Maintain detailed daily field reports documenting workforce, work completed, and site conditions

Identify and report non-conforming work, safety violations, and field deficiencies

Assist with technical inspections and quality control testing coordination

Support submittal and RFI tracking in coordination with the Project Manager

Conduct beginning and end of day safety walk-throughs and report findings

Qualifications

5+ years of construction inspection experience; healthcare or occupied facility experience preferred

NICET certification, NYC DOB Special Inspection certification, or equivalent preferred

Familiarity with NYC construction codes, safety regulations, and prevailing wage requirements

Strong written communication skills for daily report preparation

Experience with Procore or similar construction management software a plus
