Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking a Construction Intern for our New York, NY office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks.
• Performs entry level work under close supervision of experienced staff members.
• Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff, seeking clarification when needed.
• Meets required schedules while producing quality work, demonstrating attention to detail and time management skills.
• Will report to Pre-Construction Services Group within Program Project Management (PPM) business line.
• Assists in the preparation of construction documents, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Participates in site visits and field observations to gain practical experience in construction processes.
• Supports project teams in various administrative tasks, such as document control and meeting minutes.
• Learns and applies safety protocols and regulations relevant to construction sites.
• Collaborates with team members on research tasks related to construction materials, methods, and technologies.
• Assists in the coordination of subcontractors and vendors under the guidance of project managers.
• Develops proficiency in using construction management software and tools.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have completed a minimum of two years of study

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Good communication skills
