Atlantic Staffing is accepting resumes for Construction Laborers for a client in Castle Hayne, NC who manufactures floating docks.

Temp to Hire for the right candidates after probationary period. 

Requirements of the Construction Laborer:
*Reading, writing, verbal communication, and math skills required.
*Must be able to read a regular Tape Measure - not a cheater tape
*Candidates must be able to read a tape measure and pass a pre-employment Tape Measure & Counting Test - Must score 100% (count from 0-1 in 1/8ths & 1/16ths)
*Must be able to pass a pre employment drug screen

Responsibilities of the Construction Laborer:

• Work in a partially outdoor work environment.
• Use tools such as hammers, hand drills, drill presses, and impact drills.
• Training & testing on tools and machines used will be provided. Previous experience is required.
• Sweep and perform other clean-up duties.
• Move heavy materials periodically. Up to 50 pounds alone or more with help.
• Stack lumber.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions.
• The employee will be exposed to extreme cold or extreme heat semi-regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to follow guidelines and lead other team members.

Additional Requirements of the Construction Laborer:

• Steel Toed Boots required. The employee must provide their own.
• Previous Carpentry Experience or similar 2+ years
• Must be able to follow instructions from supervisors. Must listen and be respectful.
• Safety-minded attitude.
• Willingness to learn and eagerness to work.
• Great attention to detail.
• Must be able to read and interpret shop drawings and project schedules. 
• Valid Drivers License and Reliable Transportation.
• Great attendance and punctuality.
• May have to stand for long periods.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work Overtime as needed.

Roofing, Framing, Fabrication, Construction, or Trim & Remodeling experience will be a benefit in this environment.

Holiday & Vacation Pay start immediately upon hire.

Hours & Pay of a Construction Laborer:
Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 5 PM
Saturdays 8 AM - 5 PM
Lunch: 45 Minutes (unpaid)
Starting pay is $12.00 - $18.00 an hour depending on experience and if you pass the tape measure and counting tests.
