  • Responsibilities

    DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

    • 8+ years of field experience in commercial construction, with 3+ years in a superintendent role on large public-sector or aviation projects.
    • In-depth knowledge of airport construction protocols and working in secure, phased environments.
    • Strong communication and coordination skills across multi-stakeholder teams.
    • Proficiency with project management and scheduling software.
    • Ability to manage work in active operational environments with zero safety or disruption tolerance.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    -Field Management & Execution:

    • Lead all daily on-site operations for a major phase of airport expansion, from demolition and site prep through turnover and occupancy.
    • Manage subcontractors, logistics, inspections, and sequencing of trades to meet demanding schedules and safety protocols.
    • Ensure delivery of work that aligns with the project’s quality expectations and regulatory requirements.

    -Schedule & Look-Ahead Planning:

    • Develop and manage 3-week and 6-week look-ahead schedules for your assigned scope.
    • Coordinate with project management and other lead superintendents to ensure seamless handoffs and trade flow.
    • Adjust plans daily based on field conditions while maintaining milestone targets.

    -Jobsite Safety & Airport Compliance:

    • Enforce all OSHA safety procedures, site-specific plans, and airport security protocols including badging, escorting, and working in secure zones.
    • Conduct daily safety walks and toolbox talks; ensure all field personnel operate within site-specific safety plans.
    • Coordinate with airport operations for notifications of work affecting public or restricted areas.

    -Daily Reporting & Communication:

    • Use project management software (e.g., Procore, e-Builder, or Buildertrend) to log daily reports, track subcontractor progress, and document site conditions.
    • Upload jobsite photos and provide accurate descriptions of daily activity and key issues.
    • Track material deliveries, inspections, and equipment logs in real time.
    • Maintain clear communication with General Superintendent, Project Managers, and client field reps.

    -Quality & Inspection Readiness:

    • Perform continuous quality control checks to ensure adherence to project documents.
    • Coordinate with QA/QC teams and inspectors to prepare work areas for inspection and ensure proper documentation is in place.
    • Maintain accurate field records, as-built documentation, and RFIs for assigned scope.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience in terminal work, concourse construction, baggage systems, or airfield-side scopes.
    • OSHA 30, FAA clearance, or experience with airport badging processes.
    • Familiarity with infrastructure phasing and high-volume public interface coordination.
