CONSTRUCTION LOGISTICSSPECIALIST IV(Roadway Coordination and/or Terminal ARM)
Position Description
The Construction LogisticsSpecialist IV is responsible for supporting theteam in conveying andcoordinating constructionactivity between airportoperations and multiple projects and contractors.This individual will collect,organize and review phasingand logistics for construction conflictswithin a project and across all projects collectively.The ConstructionLogistics Specialist IV will provide guidancefor mitigating conflicts in advanceof construction.
Essential Job Duties
•Identify areasof potentialoverlap of work and makerecommendations concerningopportunities formoreefficient and less disruptive packaging and/or procurement ofthework
•Stay current with the scope and schedule for all current and future airport projects
•Extract look-ahead data concerning barricades, utilityshutdowns andother actions thatwould impactLAWA and/or Tenantoperations
•Interfacewith utilityshutdownexperts and engineering technical support tomakerecommendations for timing of utility shutdowns
•Provide review and comment on Area Shutdown Request ensuring adherence to the LAWAStandards
•Recommend procedures and protocols to the CALMManager
•Develop appropriate tracking and recordkeeping tools
•Provide progress reportingdocuments and briefing materials as required
•Attendmultiple daily project meetings to gather activityinformation
•Read and interpret projectplans andschedules
•Ensure activity impact information flows among projectstakeholders
•Read, understand and interpret project schedules andGanttcharts
•Liaison with third-partyentities whose construction effortsmayoverlap
•Contribute to the advancement of program goals throughcommitmentto productive collaboration with allstakeholders
•Work closely with CALMManager to ensure information is accurately portrayedand up todate
•Produce Monthly and Yearly Team reports forExecutive Management to highlight teamaccomplishments.
•Supports CALMManager for all project-related data for Coordination andLogisticsManagement (CALM)Teamwithin the Airport Development Group at LAX in order tominimize construction-related impacts for bothtenants and passengers while preventingconstructionconflicts andexpensive redesigns for all terminal improvements.

• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design skills are essential, including

• Excellent written communication skills and ability to communicate complex issues to a non-technical audience
• Must be able to work under pressure on high-profile complicated assignments
• Ability to understand intent and process across various construction delivery methods

• Ability to read design plans, maps and interpret construction language
• Knowledge of wayfinding concepts and mapping technologies are essential skillsets
• Experience with technologies and best practices across multiple platforms
Education/Training
• 20 years or more experience, preferable on airport building programs or similar complex building programs
• Bachelor's degree in architecture, aviation, business, engineering, construction management, planning or other related technical field required. Master’s degree preferred.
Hardware/Software Knowledge
• Experience combining and formatting multiple digital file document types to clearly and concisely present compiled information
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite software (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Experience using Bluebeam

Registration Certification
• Relevant Professional Licensure and/or certifications are strongly preferred. Additional Requirements
