Do you thrive when you’re the steady hand coordinating trades, communicating with homeowners, and keeping timelines on track, all while understanding the details behind the walls? Windle Design & Construction is looking for a highly experienced Construction Manager who can step in, take ownership, and lead active residential projects with confidence from day one. This is a high-level, hands-on Construction Project Manager role focused exclusively on residential construction. We are seeking an experienced professional whose background is firmly rooted in residential builds and who has successfully led projects of similar scope and complexity. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of the residential construction process, understands the rhythm of custom builds and remodels. You will serve as the central point of coordination between our internal team, trade partners, and homeowners. Once a project moves into production, you own the schedule, communication cadence, and execution oversight. This role requires someone who is experienced, decisive, organized, and capable of managing active projects without needing to be trained for the position. Compensation • Salary Range: $85,000 to $95,000, dependent on experience. • 401(k) with 4% company match. • Health Benefits: The company pays 40% of the premium. • Paid Time Off (PTO) • Bonus Opportunity Responsibilities: • Oversee active residential construction projects from production through completion • Manage and maintain detailed construction schedules using Buildertrend • Coordinate closely with the Director of Construction, design team, and internal leadership • Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners during the build process • Provide consistent updates to homeowners regarding progress, timelines, and expectations • Monitor job progress to ensure quality, efficiency, and adherence to schedule • Identify and proactively address issues before they impact the timeline or budget • Maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors and vendors • Ensure alignment between design intent, budget, and field execution • Track project budgets and understand estimates to support cost control • Maintain organization and documentation within project management systems Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in residential construction project management • Background as a Site Superintendent or similar field leadership role • Deep understanding of the full residential construction lifecycle • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, and trade coordination • Experience using Buildertrend (required) • Strong working knowledge of budgets and construction estimates • Confident, self-directed, and capable of taking ownership immediately • Professional communicator with homeowners and internal teams • Not seeking training in the role, already effective and experienced Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 yearly
