    Job Title: Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician

    Pay: $20-$24/hr DOE

    Location: St. Charles, MO 63301

    Job Summary:

    The Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician is responsible for performing field testing of construction materials to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. This role involves working on active construction sites, collecting samples, conducting tests, documenting results, and communicating findings to engineers, project managers, and clients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Perform field testing on construction materials such as soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregate

    Collect and properly label samples for testing and record accurate field data

    Monitor construction activities to ensure materials meet project specifications

    Prepare detailed reports of test results and observations

    Communicate test results and potential issues to supervisors and project teams

    Maintain and calibrate testing equipment

    Follow all safety protocols and procedures on job sites

    Assist engineers and senior technicians with inspections and evaluations

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent required

    Basic knowledge of construction materials, testing procedures, and industry standards

    Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

    Good written and verbal communication skills

    Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to lift and carry equipment (up to 50 lbs)

    Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

    Standing, walking, bending, and climbing for extended periods

    Work Environment:

    Fieldwork at construction sites

    May require travel to multiple job sites (local)

    Potential for early morning, evening, or weekend work depending on project schedules
