Our busy construction company is seeking an organized construction project assistant to support our office with clerical and administrative tasks. You’ll help our office staff communicate with vendors and clients, obtain bids from subcontractors, and place subcontracts. The ideal candidate will have great computer, communication, and time management skills. Previous experience in the industry is helpful, but not required. Responsibilities: • Prepare forms such as change orders, purchase orders, service agreements, and subcontracts • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to emails in a professional way • Communicate with vendors and subcontractors as a point of contact to solicit new jobs • Assist the Project Manager in the creation and maintenance of project budgets and estimates • Perform data entry and maintain electronic and paper records • Ensure all necessary lien waivers are received and processed with each draw • File notices on the State Construction Registry • Ensure all trade insurance certificates and licenses are current • Ensure all paperwork with the title company and lender is filled out and submitted for closings Qualifications: • Strong computer skills, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) are needed • Knowledge of the construction industry is ideal, but not required • Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills are needed Compensation: $18 hourly
