Position Summary
The Project Coordinator supports owner-side delivery of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) distributed generation projects, including rooftop solar, carport solar, and behind-the-meter Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
This role provides day-to-day coordination, documentation control, and reporting support to Project Managers and Directors, helping ensure projects progress efficiently through construction, inspection, and closeout while maintaining strong communication with EPC partners and customers. This role differs from an EPC Project Coordinator in that it focuses on owner-side coordination, documentation, and reporting, rather than managing field labor or directing construction activities.
The position is ideal for an early-career professional seeking growth into owner-side project management within the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
Support Project Managers with coordination of C&I solar and BESS projects from Notice to Proceed through PTO
Maintain project documentation, trackers, and reporting dashboards
Assist with schedule updates, milestone tracking, and meeting coordination
Support communication with EPCs, installers, utilities, AHJs, and host customers
Track submittals, RFIs, change requests, inspections, and closeout items
Assist with monitoring safety and quality documentation for occupied sites
Support commissioning, inspection, and PTO documentation packages
Ensure accurate recordkeeping across multiple concurrent projects
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
1–4+ years of experience in construction coordination, project administration, or renewable energy projects
Exposure to solar, distributed generation, or electrical construction
Proficiency with project management tools, spreadsheets, and document control systems
Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and customers
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $70,000 – $90,000, commensurate with experience
Annual Performance Bonus: Target 5–10% of base salary, tied to project execution, documentation accuracy, and team performance

Location Candidate is ideally in the East Coast region of US with a preference for New York, Massachusetts, Maryland, or New Hampshire. This role is flexible to be remote with travel as necessary.
