    Our busy company is seeking an experienced construction estimator to join our team of construction professionals. This role will play a critical part in developing accurate project budgets, maintaining cost controls, and supporting design and purchasing workflows across our wood-frame apartment and townhome developments. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in estimating or project management. Responsibilities: • Develop, review, and maintain detailed cost estimates and working budgets for multi-family projects (townhomes and low-rise apartments). • Interpret and extract information from Development Permit, Building Permit, and IFC construction documents. • Build and manage assemblies and project cost templates using ERP/estimating software. • Assist in tendering scopes and trades, reviewing bids for scope completeness, and analyzing pricing. • Maintain database of costs and assemblies in Homefront, Sage 300, or equivalent systems. • Review and approve change orders, purchase orders, and project cost updates. • Support design development and value engineering processes by providing cost feedback. • Collaborate with project managers and site teams to reconcile budgets with actual costs. • Track project variances and assist in ongoing project forecasting and reporting. • Issue POs related to change orders, contract adjustments, and owner-selected upgrades. Qualifications: • Diploma or degree in Estimating, Construction Technology, or Architectural Sciences. • Minimum 3 years of estimating experience in wood-frame multi-family construction. • Strong understanding of building systems, assemblies, and construction sequencing. • Familiarity with Alberta codes, permitting processes, and industry pricing benchmarks. • Experience with Homefront, Sage 300, Timberline, or equivalent software is an asset. • Proficiency in reading construction drawings and consultant specifications. Compensation: $85,500 at plan earnings

    $85,500 per year
