Developer/Builder - Multi-Family Market Rate and Affordable Housing
Florida with emphasis on Southeast Florida
Role Overview
- The Project Executive is responsible for leading execution across all active construction projects including market rate, workforce, and affordable housing developments.
- This role owns how projects are built, delivered, and experienced by the team and partners.
- This includes accountability for execution-related risk, safety, financial performance from the field, and relationships with subcontractors, consultants, governing authorities, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution across multiple projects
- Provide leadership to field teams
- Implement systems, SOPs, and reporting
- Ensure alignment between preconstruction and field execution
- Drive accountability for schedule, coordination, and delivery
Financial and Risk Accountability
- Maintain awareness of cost, schedule, and execution risk
- Drive accountability for field-driven financial outcomes
- Ensure subcontractor performance aligns with expectations
Relationship Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants, and governing authorities
- Represent the company professionally in all external interactions
Internal and External Leadership Relationships
- The Project Executive operates as a key connector between field execution, development, and ownership, ensuring alignment between how projects are planned, financed, and delivered.
This includes direct interaction and accountability with:
- Development and executive leadership team
- Preconstruction and estimating
- Development partners and joint venture stakeholders
- Investors and capital partners, as appropriate
- Municipal agencies and public stakeholders tied to affordable and workforce housing
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring execution aligns with development intent, proforma, and commitments
- Providing clear communication on project status, risks, and impacts
- Translating field conditions into business implications including schedule, cost, and risk
- Supporting leadership in maintaining credibility with partners, agencies, and investors
- Maintaining alignment between what was planned, funded, and built
Experience Required:
- Experience in multi-family construction
- Experience in Florida construction environment preferred
- Experience managing multiple projects
