    Job Description

    The Construction Project Executive provides senior-level leadership and oversight for construction delivery across a portfolio of complex, high-visibility projects. This role is accountable for operational performance, client satisfaction, and business outcomes—including profitability, risk management, and safety.

    As a strategic leader, the Project Executive partners with Design and Project Directors to deliver seamless, integrated solutions. This individual will lead pursuit and preconstruction efforts, manage and mentor project teams, and serve as the principal representative for CRB on major engagements. The role requires significant travel across the Western Region and operates with high autonomy and executive visibility.

    Location: Ideally based in Denver, CO , with regular travel across the Western Region. Open to other base locations within the region for the right candidate.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead pursuit and preconstruction efforts, including scheduling, estimating, and constructability reviews.
    • Provide strategic direction across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with safety, schedule, quality, and financial goals.
    • Serve as Project Executive on large or integrated projects, overseeing delivery and cross-functional coordination.
    • Champion a culture of safety and ensure compliance with EHS standards and legal obligations.
    • Manage client relationships at the executive level, resolving escalations and driving repeat business.
    • Oversee project execution planning, including procurement, logistics, and phasing strategies.
    • Drive financial performance through forecasting, cost control, and risk mitigation.
    • Lead contract negotiations and ensure proper execution of subcontracts and purchase agreements.
    • Collaborate with estimating, legal, and finance teams to support project setup and delivery.
    • Conduct internal risk reviews and implement mitigation strategies across project portfolios.
    • Represent CRB in external engagements to reinforce brand and market position.
    • Manage, train, mentor, and build high-performing project teams.
  • Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
    • 10+ years of progressive experience in construction management, including oversight of large or complex projects. 20 years of experience to be considered for a Senior Project Executive.
    • Proven ability to lead construction teams and manage multiple concurrent projects or programs.
    • Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety, codes, and delivery methods (CM, CMAR, DB, IPD).
    • Demonstrated success in client-facing roles and issue resolution.
    • Strong business acumen, including financial performance, contracts, and risk mitigation.
    • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Willingness and ability to travel across the Western Region as needed.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience as Project Executive on large, integrated, or design-build projects.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor senior project personnel.
    • Experience supporting business development, including pursuit strategy and proposal development.
    • Advanced understanding of construction in complex markets (biopharma, mission critical, healthcare, advanced manufacturing).
    • OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
    • Proficiency in construction software platforms (Procore, Primavera P6, CMiC, BIM 360).
    • Deep knowledge of the full project lifecycle—from business case alignment through turnover and warranty.
    • Executive presence and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.

    The pay range for a candidate selected for this position who is based in Denver is typically $164,600 to $263,300 annually. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. The selected candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, including but not limited to work location, qualifications, and relevant experience. In addition, CRB offers a total rewards package that includes comprehensive insurance coverage as well as the opportunity to participate in one or more annual incentive programs based on company and individual performance.
