Responsibilities: • Conduct business with external vendors, contractors, and critical subcontractors to negotiate profitable contracts • Put organizational systems into place to ensure tools, vehicles, and equipment are well-maintained, and schedule maintenance if needed • Forecast monetary needs for the project and accurately manage the budget • Oversee the work of all general contractors and their laborers and guide as necessary to ensure high-quality work • Acquire the appropriate licenses and permits from the corresponding authorities and ensure construction is up to code • Work with crews to make sure the job is done from start to finish Qualifications: • Excellent time-management, organizational, leadership, and communication skills • Experience using construction or project management software preferred • Knowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building permits, blueprints, building codes, construction equipment, material resources, construction methods, and project management principles • Minimum 1 year of work experience in construction management
