Project Manager – Commercial Solar

Buffalo, NY | In-Person Salary: $85,000–$105,000

Buffalo Solar is seeking a Project Manager to oversee commercial rooftop solar projects executed by subcontractors. This role owns project delivery from handoff through closeout and serves as the primary decision-maker for execution-related issues.

This is a hands-on, in-person role requiring strong judgment, clear communication, and comfort managing subcontractors, schedules, and field issues.

Responsibilities

Own project scope, schedule, and budget

Direct Installation Supervisors and subcontractors

Resolve field, material, and schedule issues

Oversee procurement sequencing and substitutions

Manage change orders and execution risks

Serve as primary delivery contact for clients

Coordinate inspections, commissioning support, and closeout

Track project performance and billing milestones

Qualifications

Experience managing commercial construction or solar projects

Strong subcontractor coordination experience

Comfortable making decisions under pressure

Clear communicator with field and client experience

Willing to work in person and visit job sites
