    Job Summary

    Design 2 Build (D2B) is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Construction Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team. This role will support and oversee high-end residential construction projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring work is executed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

    The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of construction methods, enjoys working collaboratively with architects, designers, subcontractors, and clients, and is motivated to grow within a quality-driven company.

    Responsibilities

    Manage and/or support all phases of construction projects from planning through closeout

    Coordinate with architects, designers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors

    Assist with or lead project scheduling, sequencing, and milestone tracking

    Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, and inspections

    Secure and track permits and approvals

    Review construction documents, shop drawings, and submittals

    Ensure jobsite safety and compliance with all building and safety regulations

    Supervise field staff and subcontractors as required by role level

    Maintain organized project documentation and provide regular progress reports

    Qualifications

    1–5+ years of construction project management experience (role level adjusted based on experience)

    Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and building systems in NYC

    Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred

    Proficiency with Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets and construction/project management software

    Familiarity with NYC permitting, DOB processes, and residential construction standards preferred

    Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

    Ability to break complex projects into manageable steps and prioritize effectively
