    Construction Project Manager - Federal Government Construction - Base Salary to 130k/year - Baltimore, MD

    • Our client is a GC based in Catonsville that specializes in federal construction projects, nationwide but with a focus on Maryland and West Virginia. Projects range from 3 – 20 million, and can include ground up and renovation work on healthcare, industrial, multifamily, or commercial structures. They are a veteran-owned company with a stable backlog of business, providing both design and construction services to their clients.
    • In this role, the Construction Project Manager will take the lead in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing out projects. The ideal candidate will work in conjunction with colleagues, clients, architects, and engineers on several projects simultaneously. 5+ years experience as a Construction Project Manager as well as federal construction experience is critical to success in this position..

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyze and interpret technical drawing and other documentation to prepare and manage schedules
    • Obtain and evaluate material, equipment and vendor quotes to maintain budget, scope, and schedule
    • Coordinate with subcontractors, engineers, and clients to discuss and adjust project scopes, change orders, and timelines as necessary
    • Understand contract requirements, construction standards, and OSHA safety regulations
    • Understand, prepare, and maintain all project related documentation
    • Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
    • Efficiently solve problems and deal with a variety of challenges
    • Attend internal bid opportunity meetings to identify details pertaining to scheduling, phasing, and any other special requirements
    • Update job knowledge by participating in education opportunities, reading industry publications, maintaining networks, and participating in professional organizations

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years Project Management experience
    • Federal or government construction experience
    • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously over $3M
    • MS Office proficiency required, Procore preferred
    • Construction-related degree and OSHA 30 certification preferred
    • Ability to travel occasionally, including out of state
    • Ability to manage both in the field and out of the Catonsville office

    Compensation:

    • Base salary in the 100k – 130k/year range
