This organization consists of four heavy civil construction companies providing infrastructure improvement, heavy civil construction, and site development services for government agencies, state agencies, and private-sector clients throughout the United States.
Projects include highways, bridges, DOT work, power plants, dams and reservoirs, underground utilities, site development, and other large-scale civil construction initiatives. Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from initiation through completion. This role is critical to ensuring the successful execution of construction and industrial services projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management expertise, a thorough understanding of construction processes, and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards.
This position will primarily focus on pre-construction activities, administrative functions, project documentation, bidding support, and submittal management. The role is office-based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with occasional travel to project sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate and oversee project activities, including subcontractors and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, codes, and industry standards.
Monitor project progress and implement adjustments to maintain schedules and objectives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and deliverables.
Manage project resources, including labor, equipment, and materials.
Conduct project meetings and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and challenges.
Maintain quality control and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Prepare and present project reports to management.
Perform technical writing, bid preparation, and proposal review activities.

Certifications
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for access to secured facilities, including military installations.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Outreach Training preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong understanding of construction project management principles.
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and industry best practices.
Experience with construction management software and project controls tools.
Proficiency with platforms such as Primavera P6, Procore, HCSS HeavyBid/HeavyJob, CMiC, Sage/Timberline, Trimble Viewpoint/Vista, Microsoft Project, or similar software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
High attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong client relationship and customer service skills.
