Senior Project Manager

Twin Cities, MN | Direct Hire | $115-$130k

Konik is partnering with a growing, relationship-driven commercial general contractor to add a Senior Project Manager to their team. This is a high-impact role within a smaller, tight-knit group where this individual will take ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout while playing an active role in maintaining and expanding client relationships.

Senior Project Manager Responsibilities

• Lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, managing scope, schedule, and financial performance
• Develop estimates, proposals, and budgets while supporting negotiated and repeat client work
• Manage subcontractor bidding, selection, and performance across the full project lifecycle
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and partners to support repeat business and future opportunities
• Participate in project pursuits including walk-throughs, client meetings, and early design/development discussions
• Proactively identify and resolve project challenges, maintaining schedule, quality, and profitability
• Collaborate with field teams and leadership to ensure successful project delivery

Senior Project Manager Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience running projects independently as a Project Manager within a general contractor environment
• Experience managing projects cradle-to-grave, including estimating and project execution
• Background in commercial construction projects ranging from approximately $10M–$25M
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors, budgets, and schedules across multiple projects
• Ability to build and maintain strong client and vendor relationships
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly

Additional Role Details

• Projects primarily located in the Twin Cities, with occasional work in surrounding markets (including out-of-state projects)
• Office-based role with flexibility to work from job sites as needed (not a hybrid position)
• Mix of negotiated, repeat client work and select bid opportunities
• Small, collaborative team environment with high visibility and direct access to leadership
