Construction Project Manager – Restoration & Reconstruction We manage residential and commercial reconstruction projects resulting from water, fire, and mold damage. As a Project Manager, you'll own your projects from the time they're estimated. You'll be setting budgets, writing work orders, selecting and managing subcontractors, and inspecting work in the field to make sure it gets done right and on schedule.
What you'll actually do:
Take ownership of projects once they've been estimated and sold
Occasionally support the estimator during the sales process
Identify and sell upgrades to homeowners during the reconstruction process
Build and manage project budgets; communicate scope and cost clearly with homeowners and insurance parties
Write and issue work orders based on scope of damage and required repairs
Select subcontractors and hold them accountable to quality, schedule, and budget
Spend significant time in the field inspecting work at each stage
Coordinate with homeowners throughout the process. These are people dealing with a rough situation, and clear communication matters. Manage multiple active projects simultaneously
What we're looking for:
Hands-on construction experience. You need to know what good work looks like and catch what isn't
Experience managing subcontractors
Ability to read a job, build a realistic budget, and stick to it
Some comfort with sales or upselling. You'll be talking to homeowners about upgrade options
Strong organizational and communication skills
Restoration/insurance reconstruction experience is a plus but not required
Proficient with a variety of technology and software, preferably including Xactimate and Symbility
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, but not required
What to expect:
You'll be in the field regularly, this is not a desk job
After training, you'll have real autonomy over your schedule and how you run your projects
You'll manage multiple jobs at different stages at any given time
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary range of $70,000 to $90,000+ per year (depending on experience and qualifications), plus potential for bonus based on production and profitability
Health and dental insurance available
Ongoing Leadership Development Program and industry events
One on One mentorship
