Construction Project Manager – Your Job Duties
- Own full lifecycle delivery of commercial construction projects including cost, schedule, quality, and profitability
- Participate in pursuit and bidding activities by collaborating closely with estimators to develop accurate, competitive proposals and ensure timely, high-quality bid submissions
- Manage client relationships as the primary point of contact, ensuring satisfaction from kickoff through closeout
- Lead tenant improvement and commercial design-build projects across office, lab, retail, and technical environments
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining organization across all job files and documentation
- Coordinate project schedules, track progress, and proactively address delays or challenges
- Oversee strategic development and coordination of RFIs, submittals, and construction document packages, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and seamless communication across all project stakeholders
- Demonstrate strong people management skills, including the ability to lead, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
Construction Project Manager – You Have (Required Skills, Experience & Team Fit)
- Background as a Project Manager in commercial construction
- Experience managing tenant improvement (TI) or commercial design-build projects
- Capability in managing multiple projects simultaneously with strong organization and follow-through
- Knowledge of construction systems including structural, MEP, and building systems
- Familiarity with working in occupied or Class A commercial environments
- Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to manage difficult conversations
- Expertise reviewing project financials, billings, and subcontractor invoices
- Well versed using project management software such as Procore, Autodesk, or similar tools
- Collaborative approach to working with field teams including Superintendents and Project Engineers
- Natural aptitude for leadership and accountability with a no-ego, team-oriented approach
