Position Overview
We are hiring a highly experienced Reconstruction Contractor to take full ownership of interior reconstruction projects following water/fire/smoke/mold damage mitigation.
This is a fast-paced, commission-based role for a self-sufficient professional who does not require hands-on training and can independently manage projects from estimate to final payment.
You will be responsible for client communication, estimating, production management, team oversight, material procurement, and financial performance of each job.

Core Responsibilities
Contact clients immediately after mitigation completion
Schedule and perform on-site inspections
Create accurate, detailed reconstruction estimates
Clearly explain scope of work to homeowners
Collect required deposits before work begins
Submit all required documentation to the main office promptly
You must be confident discussing pricing, scope changes, and timelines with homeowners.
Recruit, hire, and manage your own crew or subcontractors
Schedule trades efficiently to minimize downtime
Coordinate all phases of interior reconstruction including:
Drywall repair and installation
Trim and finish carpentry
Cabinet installation
Flooring
Tiling
Painting
Minor framing and interior structural repairs
Maintain clean, professional job sites
Ensure work meets company standards and building codes
Handle change orders professionally and in writing
Create material lists for each project
Purchase and coordinate delivery of materials
Ensure materials arrive on time and within budget
Monitor job costs to protect profitability
You are responsible for protecting the margin on your jobs.
Maintain proactive communication throughout the project
Return phone calls promptly
Answer client questions clearly and confidently
Set realistic expectations and meet them
Address concerns before they become complaints
This role requires someone who is accessible and responsive.
Track project profitability
Control labor and material costs
Collect final payment upon project completion
Close out all documentation in a timely manner
Compensation is commission-based and tied to net profit. If you manage well, you earn well.
Conduct final walkthrough with client
Ensure client satisfaction before leaving the project
Capture high-quality before and after photos
Request and secure online reviews
Represent the company professionally at all times
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years experience in interior residential construction
Proven job site management experience
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at once
Experience recruiting and managing crews or subcontractors
Strong estimating skills
Fluent in English
Clean driving record
Reliable personal vehicle
Ability to work independently without daily oversight
Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
