    Job Description

    AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity for a Construction Specialist to join our team of professionals in Cincinnati, OH.

    The Quality Specialist serves as a resource to the project team. The quality engineer participates in Submittal and Shop Drawing reviews, Initial Trade Pre-Construction meetings, and Trade Pre-installation meetings, as well as frequent job site walkthroughs and reporting.

    • Demonstrate leadership by personal 100% PPE Compliance, enforce all job site safety rules, and discuss safety first at every meeting. Personally committed and contributes to a safe work environment. Promotes safety awareness and supports the company’s policies and training requirements.
    • Create a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Research, learn quickly, and communicate that knowledge with individuals of different levels of understanding.
    • Demonstrates respect for varying backgrounds and perspectives. Maintains an inclusive workplace.
    • Technically supervises quality projects or major phases of significant quality projects, coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned project.
    • Applies comprehensive knowledge to the completion of significant quality assignments.
    • Provides leadership for quality assurance and quality control support on assigned program(s) and/or areas to ensure that the project is designed, procured and installed in accordance with customer and company quality requirements.
    • Provides leadership for new systems, development, proposals, implementation, procedures and any related quality activity.
    • Develops and applies advanced quality assurance/control theories, as well as research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems on the forefront of new technologies.
    • Analyzes, evaluates and plans methods of approach, as well as organizes means to achieve solution of complex technical problems.
    • Reviews project process and evaluate results.
    • Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
    • Makes frequent decisions using principles and professional independent judgment.
    • Conducts investigations and tests that are of considerable complexity.
    • Provides technical consultation to lower-level engineers, technicians and inspectors.

    _ Minimum Requirements:_

    • BA/BS Architecture, Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management or similar curriculum and 4 years of construction related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

    _ Preferred Requirements:_

    • 4 years of experience the construction industry.
    • Ability to build and maintain both internal and external relationships.
    • Collaborative knowledge-based problem solver, identifies and resolves problems promptly, develops alternative solutions, and works well in group problem-solving situations.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Clear and effective verbal and written communicator.
    • Experience in working with Trade Contractor’s Quality Team’s documentation and project-specific testing and/or inspection requirements.
    • Knowledge of ASTM standards and knowledge of construction testing procedures.
    • Experience with building codes is a plus.
    • Experience in all construction-related trades, specifically building envelopes, life safety, and flooring.
    • MEP+FP knowledge.
    • Good understanding of the construction delivery process.
    • Experience working with Construction Documents and Submittals.
