We are seeking a Construction Safety Manager for a mission-critical data center construction in Cartersville, Georgia. This role requires a safety professional with proven experience in earthwork, utilities, and fiber installation projects who can enforce comprehensive safety protocols on a fast-paced, complex construction site. The position reports directly to the project leadership team and plays a crucial role in maintaining a zero-incident safety culture on this high-visibility infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities — Construction Safety Manager
- Develop and implement site-specific safety plans for data center construction activities including earthwork, utility installation, and fiber optic placement
- Conduct daily safety inspections, toolbox talks, and hazard assessments across active construction zones
- Ensure OSHA compliance for all contractors and subcontractors working on mission-critical infrastructure
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and safety concerns while maintaining detailed documentation in construction management software
- Coordinate with project management to integrate safety protocols into schedules and enforce stop-work authority when necessary
Qualifications — Construction Safety Manager
- 5 to 10 years of construction safety management experience with demonstrated expertise in earthwork, utilities, or infrastructure projects
- Valid OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification (OSHA 500 or additional credentials preferred)
- Proven background in fiber optic installation, utility trenching, or heavy civil construction safety
- Proficiency with construction software platforms such as Procore, BIM 360, or similar project management systems
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and documentation
Preferred Qualifications — Safety Manager for Construction Projects
- Previous experience on data center or mission-critical facility construction projects
- Advanced safety certifications such as CSP, CHST, or SMS credentials
- Experience managing safety programs for projects valued at $100M+ with multiple trade contractors
- Familiarity with earthmoving equipment safety protocols and utility coordination procedures
- Background in telecommunications infrastructure or fiber optic network construction
Physical Requirements — Construction Safety Manager
- Ability to walk construction sites for extended periods conducting inspections in varied weather conditions
- Capacity to climb ladders, navigate uneven terrain, and access excavations safely
- Work outdoors in construction environments with exposure to noise, dust, and equipment operations
- Standard construction hours Monday through Friday with occasional weekend availability as needed
