    Construction Safety Specialist – Cincinnati, OH (Local Projects)

    Fusion Safety is seeking experienced Construction Safety Specialists to support projects in and around the Cincinnati area. These are local positions (no per diem offered), ideal for professionals who want to work close to home while making a meaningful impact on job site safety.

    Position Overview

    The Construction Safety Specialist will provide on-site safety support for commercial construction projects, working directly with clients, supervision, and craft personnel to promote a proactive, behavior-based safety culture.

    Minimum Qualifications

    OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification (required)

    Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience

    Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards

    Proficient computer skills and familiarity with technical reporting software

    Preferred Experience & Core Safety Knowledge

    Hands-on background in construction trades, including:

    Pipefitting

    Plumbing

    Electrical work

    Experience implementing and enforcing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures

    Previous work at heights and in active construction environments

    Familiarity with:

    Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP)

    NFPA 70E and electrical safety practices

    Scaffolding and fall protection systems

    Rigging and material handling

    Welding and hot work safety

    Steel erection safety

    Key Responsibilities

    Conduct site-specific safety inspections and audits

    Lead daily/weekly safety meetings and pre-shift huddles

    Participate in construction manager (CM) safety meetings and OSHA-related discussions

    Perform ongoing behavior-based safety observations (positive and corrective)

    Act as a safety resource for clients and field personnel

    Coach and engage workers to correct unsafe behaviors using a constructive, teaching-focused approach

    Document observations and activities using standardized reports or software systems

    Conduct incident investigations and assist with corrective action planning

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements

    Ability to walk active job sites for up to 90% of the workday

    Must be able to climb ladders, navigate uneven terrain, and work in varying site conditions
