    CONSTRUCTION SENIOR LEAD ESTIMATOR (FORT LAUDERDALE-MIAMI)

This is an opportunity to lead work, influence decisions, mentor others, and grow into a Chief Estimator leadership position while remaining hands-on in the process. You will work directly with leadership, operations, and clients on meaningful commercial projects throughout the Fort Lauderdale-Miami market while helping build the future structure of the estimating department.

     

    Lead estimating and preconstruction efforts for commercial construction projects throughout South Florida with a clear growth path to Chief Estimator. This role is ideal for a Senior Estimator ready to take ownership, mentor others, and grow into department leadership while remaining hands-on in the work.

    YOU WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

    • Lead conceptual, schematic, DD, GMP, and hard bid estimates
    • Coordinate subcontractor and vendor pricing, scope reviews, and bid leveling
    • Develop budgets, quantity takeoffs, clarifications, logistics, staffing, and execution strategies
    • Work closely with Operations, Project Management, and Executive Leadership throughout preconstruction
    • Present estimates and pricing strategies internally and to clients as needed
    • Mentor and help develop junior estimating staff
    • Assist in building estimating standards, procedures, and department growth

    DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

    • 8+ years of commercial construction estimating/preconstruction experience
    • Strong understanding of means and methods, scheduling, logistics, and subcontractor strategy
    • Experience with negotiated work, GMP delivery, CMAR, or Design-Build preferred
    • Ability to lead projects independently while collaborating with field and operations teams
    • Proficient with estimating software, takeoff tools, SmartBid, and Microsoft Office Suite
