    SSHO - Federal/Medical Jobs - Johnson City, TN - $100k-$120k We’re hiring a Construction Site Safety Manager (SSHO) to join our team. You’ll own the build-out of our jobsite safety management system - policies, procedures, and field execution that meet all applicable safety regulations. This role is hands-on: maintain and document safety standards, spot issues early, and drive corrective actions to closure. We’re also open to an aspiring Assistant Superintendent / Project Supervisor who wants to grow into a safety leadership role. Why This Role Matters • Prevent incidents and shutdowns through strong pre-task planning • Enforce subcontractor compliance and jobsite standards • Keep safety documentation audit-ready (federal/medical expectations) Responsibilities: What You’ll Do • Own daily jobsite safety execution for active projects in/around Johnson City, TN (travel as needed). • Build, implement, and enforce the Site Safety & Health Plan (SSHP/SSSP) and AHA/JHA/JSA process. • Lead new-hire/sub orientation, daily/weekly toolbox talks, and task-specific safety training. • Perform jobsite inspections/audits; document findings, corrective actions, and verify closeout. • Manage incident and near-miss reporting, investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions. • Enforce subcontractor safety compliance with clear expectations and stop-work authority when required. • Support high-risk work controls (fall protection, excavation, scaffolding, crane/rigging, hot work, confined space, LOTO). • Maintain audit-ready safety documentation aligned with federal/medical client requirements. • Use digital tools to track and report safety items (Autodesk Build, iAuditor/SafetyCulture, or similar). • Coordinate with PMs/Supers to plan safe work before it starts—safety that supports production. Qualifications: Required • 5 years of construction safety experience, or 3 years with CSP, CSHT certifications, or a safety and health degree from an accredited university. • Proven experience leading safety on active construction sites (GC or prime sub). • Strong OSHA field knowledge and the ability to apply it to real work in the field. • Hands-on experience with AHA/JHA/JSA , pre-task planning, and site-specific safety plans. • Experience running orientations, toolbox talks, and jobsite safety training. • Strong incident/near-miss investigation skills (RCA + corrective action closeout). • Ability to manage subcontractor compliance and enforce standards consistently. • Strong written documentation and communication skills. • OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid (or ability to obtain quickly). • Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to jobsites as needed. Also Considered (Train-into-Safety Path)3–5 years as an Assistant Superintendent/Project Supervisor with strong field leadership (must still have the required safety experience/exposure as described above). • Demonstrated interest in owning safety execution and growing into a safety leadership role (we can train the right person). Preferred (Nice-to-Have) • Federal/public works safety experience ( EM 385-1-1 / USACE / NAVFAC / VA ). • CHST/CSP/ASP/STS (or in progress); OSHA 510/500 a plus. • Deep high-risk expertise (excavation, fall protection, cranes/rigging, confined space, scaffold, hot work, LOTO). • Experience with safety KPIs/leading indicators and reporting to leadership. • Comfortable in digital safety workflows (Autodesk Build/Procore, iAuditor, etc). Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 yearly

    $100,000-$120,000 per year
