Overview
Abacus Staffing is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, including blueprint reading and contract management. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities and manage on-site personnel to ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Experienced in laying underground piping systems for construction projects, ensuring proper alignment, grading, and compliance with safety and building codes.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth operations throughout the construction process.
• Review blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate implementation of project plans.
• Ability to operate multiple pieces of equipment
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce safety protocols, and address any issues that arise.
• Manage construction estimating processes to prepare accurate budgets and forecasts for projects.
• Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, local regulations, and safety standards.
• Maintain effective communication with clients regarding project status, changes, and updates.
• Train and mentor junior staff in construction practices and safety measures.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques and contract management practices.
• Proficiency in using ProCore, Prolog, or similar project management software.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Familiarity with pipeline construction processes is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license may be required for site visits.
