    Construction Superintendent (COMMERCIAL)

     

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and local regulations. This role serves as the primary field leader, coordinating subcontractors, labor, materials, and inspections while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Manage day-to-day on-site construction operations from project start through completion
    • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site personnel
    • Enforce job site safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies
    • Review project plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure accurate execution
    • Develop and maintain short- and long-term construction schedules
    • Conduct daily site inspections to monitor quality, progress, and compliance
    • Coordinate inspections with local authorities and ensure all work meets code requirements
    • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, architects, and engineers
    • Track site progress, document issues, and provide regular status reports
    • Resolve field issues, conflicts, and unforeseen conditions efficiently
    • Participate in project meetings and contribute to planning and problem-solving efforts

     

    REQUIREMENTS

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred
    • Minimum of 4-years of experience as a COMMERCIAL construction superintendent or in a similar field leadership role
    • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and schedules
    • Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools is a plus
    • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required
    • Ability to work on active construction sites in varying weather conditions
    • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 50-pounds as needed
  • Compensation
    $80,000 per year
