Job Summary:
The Project Superintendent is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily project
operations to ensure it’s safe, on time, within budget, meets quality standards, and satisfies the
customer. This role requires managing the project and working closely with the Project Manager
to achieve optimal results.
Key Responsibilities:
Preconstruction Phase:
? Assist with developing schedules, phasing, and logistics.
? Contribute to constructability reviews (if required).
? Help develop bid packages and scopes of work.
? Support the bid, award, and procurement process for subcontractors and suppliers.
Construction Phase:
? Lead and coordinate day-to-day field activities, including:
? Subcontractor management
? Project cost control
? Schedule implementation
? Quality control program execution (including punch lists)
? Resolving field issues proactively
? Produce daily reports and gather subcontractor reports
? Participate in OAC meetings
? Run regular Foreman meetings and ensure minutes are recorded
? Maintain project documents and ensure availability in the field
? Ensure accurate as-built drawings are being maintained
? Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed
? Manage jobsite security
? Oversee permit, inspection process, and code compliance
? Understand owner contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders
? Train and mentor Foremen, Assistant Superintendents, and other team members
? Mitigate project risks continually
? Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Business Development:
? Participate in RFQ/RFP responses.
? Assist with project interviews and business development efforts.
? Identify and help develop future job opportunities.
Qualifications:
? Experience in Commercial/Podium and Wood Frame construction (athletic experience
is a plus).
? Experience working on projects valued at $30M-$50M.
? Bluebeam experience required.
? Strong coordination skills between materials, field, and design requirements.
? Experience with material lead time tracking.
Required Certifications:
? 10-Hour OSHA Construction Certification
? CPR and First Aid Certification
