Construction Superintendent - Construction - Base Salary to 120k/year - Tallahassee, FL

• Our client, an established construction company, is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for commercial construction projects in the Tallahassee, FL market. This role will oversee projects from mobilization through completion, coordinating subcontractors, schedules, inspections, safety, quality, and project closeout.
• The Construction Superintendent will bring commercial construction experience along with healthcare construction experience involving hospitals, medical offices, clinics, surgery centers, or other healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage daily field operations for commercial construction projects from mobilization through project completion.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules in coordination with the Project Manager, including project sequencing and subcontractor scheduling.
• Conduct daily coordination meetings and maintain accurate daily construction reports.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals.
• Coordinate construction inspections and ensure work is performed according to project plans, specifications, applicable building codes, and project requirements.
• Manage jobsite safety, quality control, housekeeping, and productivity in accordance with company policies and OSHA requirements.
• Identify schedule conflicts, construction issues, and field conditions and coordinate appropriate resolutions.
• Coordinate material deliveries, site logistics, temporary facilities, and material handling.
• Coordinate field activities with the Project Manager, owner, architect, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Manage punch-list activities, project closeout, and turnover.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of commercial construction superintendent experience.
• Commercial construction experience managing projects from start to finish.
• Healthcare construction experience involving hospitals, medical offices, clinics, surgery centers, or other healthcare facilities.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating field operations.
• Knowledge of commercial construction means and methods, construction sequencing, and scheduling.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience reviewing and coordinating shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals.
• Ability to travel to project sites and meet company driving requirements.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 100k - 120k/year range
