Who We Want:
James David Custom Homes is looking for a superintendent that has their own transportation and is equipped with their general hand tools. Our ideal candidate will be familiar with carpentry, painting, electrical and related residential construction work, be able to read plans and have excellent communication skills.
Position will report to the President and/or Senior Construction Project Manager
The Construction Superintendent's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Set up and manage new job sites – working knowledge of plans and building specifications, requisition draw requests, contracts, budgets, change orders and construction schedules
Work closely with estimating and business development team to assist in reviewing bids and developing proposals
Client management – interact with and respond to clients
Update CRM with project and client information
Interact with, maintain and manage relationships with subcontractors
Visit job sites – check job site for quality work from employees and subcontractors
Demonstrate dedication to safety and quality control on all projects
Keep current on the project from proposal to final inspections/ walk-through
Qualifications:
5 years of residential construction experience
Previous experience managing residential construction projects
Demonstrated capability to successfully manage construction projects in the range of $500,000 - multi-million dollar range
Strong leadership skills to effectively train and mentor others
Current California Contractor’s License
Current Driver's License
Prioritize, develop, and maintain project schedules
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to prioritize and manage time
Critical thinking and decision-making skills
Compensation:
Salary commensurate with experience
