    Job Description:

    We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Construction Superintendent to join our team and play a crucial role in delivering exceptional construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects on site within scope, timeline, and budget while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. As a Construction Superintendent at J&L Builders, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage resources, and maintain clear communication with subcontractors, clients and stakeholders on multiple projects. You must have an extensive background in healthcare and/or life science.

    Job duties:

    · Plan, schedule, and manage construction projects onsite from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety, quality, and timelines.

    · Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.

    · Review project plans and coordinate the scope of work, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.

    · Monitor project progress and safety and identify potential risks or issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

    · Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure timely project execution.

    · Supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

    · Provide regular project updates to the J&L Project Manager, addressing any concerns or changes in project scope.

    · Participate in and run project meetings and facilitate effective communication among team members and subcontractors.

    · Evaluate project performance onsite against key metrics and objectives, implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

    · Ensure all project documentation, permits, as-builts and regulatory requirements are properly maintained in the field.

    · Mentor and supervise onsite project team members and subcontractors, providing guidance, and feedback.

    · Ability to create, update and execute a project schedule when handed a set of plans.

    · Identify, facilitate, and understand RFI’s, submittals and schedules for proper execution.

    · Work schedule: Full-time salary, may require weekend and shift work depending upon project requirements.

    · Other duties as required.

    Qualifications:

    · 5+ years of experience as the lead Superintendent managing projects.

    · Have TI and ground-up experience.

    · Have full understanding and experience in OSHPD 1 & 2 projects.

    · Have experience in building operating rooms.

    · Operating Rooms in ASC spaces is a plus.

    · Have experience in Life Science projects.

    · Must be able to interview with potential clients for new projects.

    · Must be able to develop project schedules. Microsoft Project mandatory, Primavera a plus.

    · Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

    · Proficiency in standard software and tools used in construction.

    · Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.

    · Commitment to safety and quality standards.

    · Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.

    · Physical requirements: Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.

    · Travel requirements: must have a valid driver’s license and must be insurable by the Company’s insurance carrier. Travel based on jobsite locations within the surrounding Sacramento Valley Region.

    · Background check and drug testing required for position.
