Construction Superintendent
Dayton, MN | Direct Hire | $100k-120k
Konik is partnered with a well-established commercial construction company that is seeking a Construction Superintendent to join their team. This role offers strong benefits, bonus potential, and a company vehicle allowance.
Construction Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Manage daily activities and operations on project sites
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractor activities to ensure efficiency and adherence to schedules
- Direct company crews and workforce assignments
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal staff
- Monitor project progress, complete daily logs, and maintain accurate schedules (including 3-week look-aheads)
- Coordinate inspections with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs)
- Uphold project quality and safety standards
- Perform material take-offs, assist with ordering, and manage field-related costs
- Provide training and mentorship to field personnel
- Perform light carpentry or labor tasks as needed
Construction Superintendent Requirements:
- Proven experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish
- Strong background coordinating subcontractors, schedules, and inspections
- Solid understanding of quality and safety standards in the field
- Ability to manage budgets, field costs, and material procurement
- Effective communicator with clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams
