    Job Description

    Mid-State Metals, LLC is seeking an experienced Superintendent to supervise and lead foremen and field crews in the installation of miscellaneous steel. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily job site operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards, project requirements, and applicable regulations.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and communicate with foremen, crews, subcontractors, and the project management team to ensure timely and successful project completion.
    • Oversee daily field operations and provide leadership to foremen and crews performing miscellaneous steel installation.
    • Prepare and maintain accurate project reports, logs, and status updates.
    • Coordinate and secure the tools, equipment, and materials necessary to execute projects efficiently.
    • Actively promote and enforce job site safety in compliance with company policies, site‑specific safety plans, and all applicable safety regulations.
    • Conduct regular job site safety meetings to reinforce safety expectations and ensure compliance with required standards.
    • Monitor and evaluate the performance of foremen and crew members; provide guidance, coaching, and corrective feedback as needed.
    • Travel as required to multiple job sites to support operations and ensure consistency in execution and safety practices.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Experience, and Skills

    • Thorough knowledge of miscellaneous steel fabrication and installation , including applicable industry standards, processes, and guidelines.
    • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in miscellaneous steel or ironworker operations, including supervisory leadership responsibility.
    • Strong understanding of industry standards, installation techniques, and best practices related to stairs, handrails, ladders, platforms, frames, and other miscellaneous steel items.
    • Proven ability to read, interpret, and work from shop drawings, erection drawings, and blueprints.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.

    Preferred Certifications

    • Welding certification
    • Rigging and Signaling certification
    • OSHA 10‑Hour or OSHA 30‑Hour certification
    • Forklift certification
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
