    Job Description

    Are you passionate about developing top-tier construction teams? PROCON is seeking a Construction Training & Development Specialist to lead our field training and mentoring programs. This role is pivotal in shaping our construction workforce—driving excellence in safety, execution, and technical skills through on-site coaching and customized training solutions. This hybrid position spends about 80% of the time in the field , providing hands-on instruction and guidance across job sites, and 20% in the office or remote , planning programs, tracking progress, and developing training materials.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as a hands-on mentor and trusted advisor to construction teams across multiple sites.
    • Design and implement enterprise-wide training initiatives and PROCON certification pathways.
    • Maintain and update a company-wide construction skills matrix to guide career development.
    • Drive safety leadership through field engagement and training on safety standards and practices.
    • Certify superintendents and crews on select equipment (e.g., forklift, lull, scissor lift, boom lift).
    • Lead instruction on building code changes and system implications to ensure compliance.
    • Build and track individualized learning paths through our Learning Management System (LMS).
    • Research and present innovative construction methods and best practices for leadership and field teams.
    • Develop training curricula with clear, measurable outcomes to assess post-training competency.
    • Align all training programs with PROCON’s project delivery goals and long-term workforce strategy.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 8+ years of commercial construction experience with a strong background in workforce training.
    • Proven success in field-based mentoring and training within large or multi-site environments.
    • Strong expertise across multiple trades and construction disciplines.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver topic-specific, hands-on training modules.
    • Willingness to learn and train site employees on commercial construction equipment certifications and licensing requirements.
    • Skilled in creating measurable performance standards and following up to ensure application in the field.
    • Strong safety leadership mindset and commitment to creating a safety-first culture.
    • Experience administering and managing LMS tools for assigning and tracking learning progress.
    • Excellent communication and documentation skills to build effective training resources.
    • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, education, or related field preferred.
    • Ability to travel and work at active job sites in New England
    • High integrity with sound ethical judgment
