    Role & Responsibility

A day in the life at this organization is a careful balance of multi-faceted responsibilities that require meticulous attention to detail, robust communication, and proactive problem-solving. Project Managers (PMs) interact consistently with clients and team members, setting weekly touchpoints and capturing daily progress through photos and logs. They act as the linchpin for all stakeholders, coordinating between the office, clients, vendors, and subcontractors to keep projects running smoothly.

Operationally, PMs ensure adherence to strict protocols and timelines, from initial client sign-offs to final invoicing. They also manage multiple projects simultaneously, each with varying scopes and client needs. Safety and compliance are non-negotiable, and PMs are expected to stay updated on guidelines and protocols. Project Managers are also responsible for financial aspects such as change orders, vendor invoices, and billing clients.

    What's expected of you:

    • Client-centric approach, always acting as if the client is scrutinizing your work.

    • Team-oriented mindset, as you won't have all the answers. Seek input and share insights.

    • Complete ownership of your projects from start to finish, maintaining a level of quality and efficiency.

    • Proactive planning to anticipate and communicate any disruptions or changes.

    • Transparent communication with clients to build trust and confidence.

    • Respect for the personal spaces in which you work, as these are the homes of your clients.

    • Straddling both client-facing and internal roles, which requires adaptability and strong communication skills.

    • Mastering the technical and managerial aspects of the job; it's not just about "ticking boxes."

    • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get dirty; this isn't a desk-only job.

    • Adapting communication strategies for a diverse array of stakeholders, each with their unique needs and expectations.

The PM role isn't just a job; it's a commitment to operational excellence, transparent communication, and above all, client satisfaction. It requires a 60/40 split between on-site and office work, with additional flexibility needed for varying meeting schedules and project demands. The role may be challenging, but it also offers a platform to shine professionally while contributing to a team that values collective wisdom and client peace of mind.
