Consultant – Management Consulting Services

RICAR Business Consulting LLC (RBC) is seeking a highly skilled Consultant to support the Florida Department of Management Services under the Statewide Management Consulting Services Mission. The Consultant will work directly with state agencies and eligible users to deliver innovative consulting solutions across multiple service categories, ensuring effective program delivery and improved organizational outcomes.

Job Description Summary

The Consultant plays a pivotal role in providing project leadership, technical expertise, and consultative support to state clients. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality solutions through structured analysis, client engagement, and effective project management while ensuring timely completion of deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply administrative, consultative, and technical expertise in accordance with Customer Scope of Work (SOW).
• Plan, organize, execute, and control project tasks to ensure successful delivery of projects and services.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day client interactions.
• Apply broad management skills and technical expertise as a project leader.
• Provide solutions through detailed research, data analysis, and strategic recommendations.
• Direct and oversee subordinates in completing task orders.
• Organize, direct, and manage support services to meet project objectives.
• Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables.
• Train Customer personnel through workshops, seminars, or classroom sessions when required.

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Management Consulting Services.
• Proven experience planning and managing consulting projects within scope, budget, and schedule constraints.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government or public-sector clients preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Education & Certifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, or related field.

Preferred:

• Master's degree (MBA, MPA, or related).
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma, or other relevant certifications.

Work Location & Arrangement

• On-Site: Primary assignments will be at state agency locations across Florida.
• Remote work may be authorized by the Customer for portions of the engagement.

Schedule & Position Type

• Full-Time, 40 hours per week (standard business hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.).
• Travel may be required, only when authorized by the Customer and as specified in the project's Scope of Work (SOW).
