    We have a unique opportunity to join a growing and established Accounting Firm. We are seeking a new Tax Manager for our Los Angeles office. The Tax Manager will be responsible for managing a team of staff and handling a lucrative book of clients with tremendous growth towards Partnership.

    The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership qualities and mentor their team in all aspects of their work and professional development. This position will have direct client contact, tax review, estate and transnational planning, projections, handle complicated tax issues, and provide technical guidance to all staff.     Responsibilities:

    • Manage and develop income tax and financial planning clients
    • Reviewing very complex Individual and Entity Tax Returns
    • Preparing year-end projections
    • Conducting research on various tax issues
    • Mentoring Associates and providing guidance on Tax issues and changes
    • Liaising with Managers and Clients
    • Maintaining presentation (oral and written)

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of public accounting experience
    • Possess a broad understanding of Tax Law with specialized knowledge in a particular area(s) of individual, corporate, taxation of pass-throughs, estate and gift tax, investment advisory, and/or financial planning
    • High Net Worth Individual, Corporations, Partnerships, LLCs, and Trust Preparation experience (Non-profit experience is a huge plus! But not a requirement...)
    • Ability to prepare working trial balance and year-end adjusting entries
    • Excellent research and writing skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
    • Excellent computer skills required in Excel, Word and Pro-FX

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related field
    • CPA certification is required
