    A global law firm consistently ranked among the top firms in the world, is currently seeking an Identity & Access Management (IAM) Systems Analyst to join their winning team in Los Angeles.

     

    As an Identity & Access Management (IAM) Systems Analyst at firm, you will be responsible for performing daily operations within the Information Governance (IG) team structure, while assuring compliance with all policies and procedures of the firm. You will be responsible for the department’s readiness and ability to provide high-quality and on-time support within the Global Technology Department for assigned tasks (e.g., assigning/removing permissions in a predominately Windows environment, data collection from various repositories, collecting audit evidence, performing access reviews in various repositories, etc.). You will also be responsible for documenting, testing, validating, and training standard operating procedures for assigned IG Team responsibilities.

     

    This position will be executing both data and access management activities. You will work closely with members of the Practice Support Services (PSS) team and others within the IG team to examine and acquire internal firm data for processing, review, and analysis. You will support pre-collection analysis, develop reports, and provide guidance to internal customers about collection methodologies.

     

    You will also work closely with the Messaging team to effectively manage any and all requests to support email archiving and data restoration of key information as required. This includes, but not limited to, supporting data services for departing employees, litigation holds and client matter information, while accomplishing these and other critical functions:

     

    • Ensuring goals and objectives of the team are met. Providing accurate and timely completion of assignments, and responses to inquiries. Ensuring that all tasks and duties are completed within the firm’s set guidelines and policies.
    • Performing lifecycle activities for file and user permissions within a predominant Microsoft environment (NTFS, ADFS).
    • Assisting with data and identity information collection, preparation and reviews to support audit and remediation of access
    • Supporting Microsoft Cloud Services environments (e.g., Azure, Teams, etc.) in relation to access management, access reviews and EDiscovery capabilities
    • Supporting backend processes using industry leading IDM solutions, including lifecycle management and access certifications/reviews
    • Analyzing and reviewing data and making recommendations in regards to data retention policies and best practices.
    • Documenting policies and procedures that are specific to IG’s scope of responsibilities.
    • Executing the various access reviews/certifications based upon the firm’s requirements from both regulatory and client demands.
    • Looking for opportunities where forensic tools can add value and/or improve existing processes such as capturing departed employee data, monitoring, assisting with other Information Governance and/or Security team projects.
    • Generating reports on data collections and uses this information to provide guidance on scope of collection and impact.
    • Maintaining accurate notes and tracking documentation for data collection projects.
    • Developing collaborative, interactive relationships with functional leads, supervisors, managers, and others within the Global Technology Department to identify appropriate tasks to be transitioned and supported by the IG Team; working with these leads to design standard operating procedures to effectively perform these tasks.
    • Carrying out activities related to management of the flow of work through the IG Team, including but not limited to coordinating the processing and distribution of all requests and clarifying such requests.
    • Effectively communicating and escalating problems as required.
    • Coordinating with other areas / departments of the firm where overlap exists to develop efficient procedures / communications to streamline processes and satisfy various department needs.
    • Completing special projects on various issues as needed.
    • Promoting effective work practices, works as a team member, and shows respect for co- workers.

     

    As an Analyst, you will be expected to apply your organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude. The successful Information Governance Technical Analyst must have knowledge of applications typically used in a global technology infrastructure environment, such as Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Cloud Services, SolarWinds, and other software that comprise the Team’s workload and background with Microsoft Exchange and any type of email archiving solutions. The Analyst must also have technical expertise or exposure in the following platforms: Encase Forensics, Exchange Archive Server (EAS), Quest Change Auditor (CA), iManage document management system, InTapp and/or industry-leading identity management systems. The ideal candidate should understand concepts of role-based access control (RBAC), least privilege, and related requirements of permissions management and data classification schemes, and have a background with industry best-of-breed ITIL systems and tools (ServiceNow, Service Manager, etc.). A background using and/or supporting industry leading IDM solutions (Sailpoint, Okta, Oracle, etc.) is desired. The Analyst must have the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion, evaluate the work of others to ensure compliance and accuracy, and define problems/issues while using a logical approach to develop and implement appropriate solutions.

     

    A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field is required. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with server & storage, active directory, networking and/or other Technology Infrastructure fields is required. Microsoft Certifications are preferred. Past experience working in a law firm environment is highly encouraged. Past experience supporting identity management, security and/or access management programs is desirable

     

    Domestic and international travel may be required. The ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends is required.
