A global law firm seeks a Manager of Financial Reporting to join their Los Angeles team. This role will support the global firm by using your experience and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, cash based reporting, partnership accounting, foreign exchange, and financial modeling to create and deliver meaningful reports and analyses to partnership and key management. The Manager will help maintain and monitor partner capital and retirement plan details, including direct inquiries from the partners, while accomplishing these and other critical functions:
As the Manager of Financial Reporting, you will be expected to apply your organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude. The successful Manager of Financial Reporting must have experience and knowledge of both accrual and cash accounting principles, including principles impacting partnerships, as well as the ability to understand foreign currency and its impact on global reporting. Demonstrated superior judgment is desired, and the ideal candidate is meticulous and results-driven. Strong analytical skills needed for all primary duties of position, including complex mathematical calculations, are desired. The Manager must possess strong knowledge and proficiency of PC applications, including MS Office, with superior proficiency specifically of MS Excel.
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field, is required. A MBA or CPA is preferred. A minimum of ten (10) years of related experience in a professional services environment is desired. A minimum of five (5) years of related experience in financial reporting and modeling is desired. A minimum of four (4) years of supervisory or management experience, both direct and indirect, is desired.
