Large publicly traded REIT is seeking a Paralegal to join their New York City team. The candidate should be a strong communicator, able to effectively multitask.

Business Description:

Company is one of the largest publicly traded commercial real estate (CRE) credit REITs, focused on originating, acquiring, financing and managing a diversified portfolio consisting primarily of CRE debt investments and net leased properties predominantly in the United States.

Responsibilities

Corporate Secretarial

Manage corporate entities, formations, qualifications, maintenance, and dissolutions

Maintain legal entity database (Secretariat)

Draft operating agreements, resolutions/written consents

Experience with board and committee meeting preparation (BoardVantage)Save

SEC Reporting

Assist with SEC filings

Miscellaneous

Coordinate execution and distribution of approved documents

Interface with many internal groups (e.g., Finance, Tax, Treasury, Investments)

Qualifications

At least 5+ years of In-house paralegal experience, or other relevant experience

Bachelor's degree required

Familiarity with corporate entity formation, maintenance, and governance

Superior grammar, writing and communication skills

Solid proofreading skills

Ability to interact well with all levels of personnel

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Ability to manage time and tasks effectively

Demonstrate the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of the Company’s internal affairs

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize high-volume work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Experienced with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel
