    A fast-growing pharmaceutical company is recruiting an Associate Director to join their Technical Operations Finance Team. This position will be based in West LA and reporting to the Executive Director, Technical Operations Finance, and will be responsible for supporting the FP&A needs for our Quality, Supply Chain, Process Development, and Strategy and Business Operations teams.

    The individual must be able to manage, develop, and inspire a small team, lead and execute analyses, define work streams, and interact with executive leadership. The individual will be responsible for:

    • Monthly reporting and variance analysis
    • Developing, coordinating, and reporting budgets and forecasts for individual departments
    • Collaborating with members of the FP&A team to align and execute on organizational objectives
    • Partnering with organization leaders to identify and drive strategic financial analysis
    • Driving efficiencies and process improvements within the team’s work streams
    • Developing and leading a small team
    • Liaising with business leaders across functions and representing Technical Operations finance in meetings and on projects
      • Assisting with ad-hoc analysis and duties as necessary

     

    Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:

    • Pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare experience is desirable
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
    • MBA and/or CPA considered a plus
    • 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis
    • Demonstrated success working in a multi-task environment
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical abilities
    • Willingness to work on detailed analysis and present to leadership as necessary
    • Complete proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling
    • Demonstrated ability to frame and execute analyses and synthesize recommendations
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.
    • Ability to travel as necessary
    • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, Hyperion, Essbase, and OBIEE
