    JOB SUMMARY

    The Applications Manager is an integral member of the management team and is responsible for the leadership and management of a custom ERP system for a large subsidiary.

    The Application Manager will provide broad functional and technical expertise to lead and motivate a team of Business Systems Analysts focused on the analysis, best practice system and operational processes, and support of the custom ERP System.

    Working closely with the Sr. Director of Enterprise Solutions & Support and other key business sponsors, the Applications Manager will be responsible for interacting with the business to gain an understanding of changing and evolving business needs to facilitate the development of software solutions in all functional areas, as well as managing upgrades and staying current on all software. This will include ensuring that enhancements and/or projects are properly estimated, meet business and technical requirements, and are within the planned budget.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • ·Lead, coach and mentor a team of Business Systems Analysts.
    • ·Develop opportunities for cross-team effectiveness and remove organizational barriers for strong teamwork, collaboration and excellent service delivery.
    • ·Deliver solutions that meet business goals and operational requirements on time and within budget.
    • ·Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and other stakeholders to design, communicate and implement strategies, standards, processes and services for the ERP system
    • ·Stay abreast of new and emerging technologies and processes in the assigned areas of responsibility.Recommend and apply technologies and processes to continually improve our services
    • ·Work closely with Procurement to foster healthy supplier relationships, manage contracts and to establish product performance usage metrics for monitoring vendor service levels and expectations
    • ·Lead the triage of escalated, complex problems as needed to ensure restoration or quality of service
    • ·Monitor customer support for assigned product areas, ensuring that reported problems are prioritized and addressed in a timely manner.
    • Comply with all internal and external policies and procedures including the Architecture Standards, Security, Project Management Methodology, Software Development Lifecycle, Change Management, Procurement and Finance, proposing improvements where applicable

    REQUIRED & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • ·Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent work experience in a related field required
    • ·6+ years of Information Technology experience required
    • ·6+ years of ERP management or Project Management of ERP systems experience required
    • ·Experience in application analysis, design, development and deployment, in support of an ERP solution
      • ·Strong understanding of the business & data flows for Sales, Warehouse, Procurement, and Finance, within an Enterprise environment.
      • ·Strong interpersonal & communication skills, with the ability to lead initiatives with cross-functional teams & stakeholders throughout the organization
        • ·Must be able to “speak the language” of the business and assess needs at a fundamental level
        • ·Strong time management & project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
      • ·Adaptable to new technologies and have the business acumen to evaluate and assess new applications and processes and contribute to the long-term improvement of business systems within the organization
      • ·Experience developing strategies, managing implementations and conversions/migrations, and/or providing support for ERP solutions
        • ·Experience developing business and full product lifecycle strategies in a high-growth environment
        • ·Broad experience utilizing varying project methodologies and SDLC management
      • ·High degree of initiative and professionalism
