    High tech manufacturing company is adding a new position to the team. The Senior AP Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting the Finance Controller in a variety of corporate AP accounting functions, including filling in the credit application forms from the vendors, account coding, collection of accounts in debit balances, preparation of disbursements and accounts payable related record keeping, and other ad-hoc projects as necessary. This position reports to the Finance Controller directly.

    The Senior AP Specialist is a critical member of our team. The best candidate for this position will possess the ability to work independently as well as within a team, and have exemplary written and verbal communication skills. In addition, you must thrive in a dynamic environment, be detail oriented, and be able to work under pressure.

    Responsibilities:

    • Processing A/P including checks, ACH and wires in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring invoices have proper approvals, correct calculations and match printed checks
    • Addressing vendor inquiries in a timely and positive manner
    • Reconciling vendor statements, investigating and correcting any discrepancies
    • Setting up new vendors in system
    • Maintain vendor files to make sure information is complete and accurate, including obtaining W-9 documents
    • Verify validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from internal departments, vendors and customers
    • Support month-end close
    • Assisting with journal and reconciliations
    • Managing companies expense accounts including AMEX cards, banking relationships and expense reports within Concur
    • Assist the audit request related to AP areas

    Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field
    • 3+ years of experience
    • Extensive knowledge of SAP, NetSuite, Oracle or any large ERP System
    • Experience using a T&E system, such as Concur
    • Advanced Excel skills - VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables
    • Understanding of GAAP accounting standards
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Must possess the ability to work independently as well as within a team and thrive in a dynamic environment
    • Detail oriented and able to work under pressure
    • Good work ethic and displays a can do type of attitude

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
