Director of FP&A for growing Global Beauty/Cosmetics CPG company
Our client is a private held growing Global Beauty/Cosmetics Consumer Products [CPG] eCommerce/Retail and Manufacturer/Distributor located in the San Gabriel Valley. They are looking to add a dynamic Director of FP&Ato their team. They have officially retained a staggered work model in a 2 weeks rolling schedule which gives 5 WFO & 5 WFH every other day.
Position Summary:
FP&A is an integral part of the decision-making process. We are searching for an experienced, driven, and detail-oriented professional to support the mission of the FP&A team and help shape its future impact. The position will report to the SVP of Financial Accounting & Corporate Treasurer and is based in the City of Industry, California.
Responsibilities include:
Prepares supporting reports that assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, and procedures relating to the financial performance of the company
Develop budgets and reports for estimated future revenue, gross margins, fixed overhead, capital expenditures, etc.
Provide departmental level reporting against the AOP and anticipate, explain, and resolve (if appropriate) any variances
Prepare, review, and distribute the daily shipment and open order report
Oversee and work with sales and marketing to facilitate the leveraging of cost reduction to be used on brand promotion, consumer awareness and increasing profitability
Work closely with Sales to improve return on investment by Customer on all areas of spending: Returns, COOP, Fixtures, Retail Marketing (O&A), cash discounts and Warehouse Allowances
Work closely with Marketing to develop and monitor budgets
Develop and provide monthly Customer P&Ls by brand that roll into the consolidated P&L (Top 10 and all other)
Update financial projection for all dilutive items and monitor closely for any unexpected events
Oversee AR team to apply cash receipts in the timely manner and guide the team to enter chargeback reason codes correctly into system for analysis control
Take immediate action by working with sales/operation team to dispute invalid chargebacks
Provide North America weekly cash flow projection rolling each month
General credit control and annual credit insurance renewal
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics required
Cosmetics and/or consumer products experience required
10-13 years’ experience running corporate planning cycles, implementing new processes, and acting as the lead on multiple projects
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proactive, scrappy mindset that comes forward with solutions whenever faced with challenges
Experience with INFOR XA a plus
Proficiency with Outlook; proficiency in Excel is absolutely necessary – knowledge of Pivot Tables and basic formulas (vlookup, sumif, iferror, concatenate etc.)
Exercise sound judgment and provide valuable insight
Communicate effectively within all levels of the company
Be an excellent analytical and critical thinker
