Publicly traded REIT seeks a Director, Finance & Accounting Systems to join their Los Angeles team.

Responsibilities:

• Work to improve process and capabilities of firm
• Define requirements for software solutions
• Implement new systems and assist with transaction based projects
• Understand and translate business requirements and processes into the software configuration and operational process
• Defining, developing, testing and implementing conversion processes to convert existing data into the Yardi or other systems
• Project management and administration
• Provide training and training materials
• System administration across Accounting/Finance/Reporting platforms
• Data architecture, reconciliation, conversion, clean up
• Work closely with internal groups (Accounting, Legal, Investment, property management, Treasury, Finance)

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to be an organized self-starter with following through on tasks until final completion
• Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years’ work experience in Real Estate, banking, Investments or property management field preferred
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills
• Very Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience utilizing finance/accounting systems, Yardi (7s), Anaplan, Tableau preferred
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight challenging deadlines
• Understanding of internal controls over financial reporting (Sox) is preferred
• Continuous enthusiasm and positive approach to problem solving
• Detail oriented creative and self-motivated
• Familiar with relational database concepts
• Open to Travel for the position as needed
